The Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree at NSU is available via two tracks:
- Entry Level (OTD)
This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE®) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). This hybrid (online with face-to-face components) program is based in Tampa, and is designed to attract creative and compassionate individuals who like to help others achieve their potential for engagement in occupation. This program meets the need for occupational therapy education beyond a master's degree, and is for students who desire flexibility while performing their other life roles.
- Post-Professional (Dr.OT)
This practice doctoral program is based in Fort Lauderdale, and is primarily a distance learning format, with on-campus times 3x a year. This doctorate prepares occupational therapists to become leaders in the practice of occupational therapy, using evidence-based strategies.
