O.T.D. Entry-Level Ft. Lauderdale

New Student Orientation OTD Fort Lauderdale

Welcome to the Nova Southeastern University OTD Entry-level Occupational Therapy program here in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The occupational therapy faculty and staff are excited about the new school year and look forward to developing a meaningful relationship with you.

You have chosen an innovative department that is well known for its history of graduating successful students who practice occupational therapy all over the country. Our students have found that our open-door policy, accessibility, professional development and advisement programs, and low professor-student ratio provide an atmosphere of support and encouragement that facilitates an optimal educational experience. In addition to excellent classroom instruction, you will have many hands-on experiences to prepare you for practice as an entry-level therapist.

We welcome your feedback as you begin this new venture. Your input is always valued and we expect that you'll become very involved in departmental and community activities. Our departmental vision is to promote excellence in education, leadership, lifelong learning, service, evidence-based practice and scholarship. We're so glad that you will be joining us in moving towards our vision.

All the best to each one of you as you officially join the NSU family.

Margo Kreger, OTD, EdD, MS. OTR/L
MOT and OTD Program Director and Associate Professor
