Dennis McCarthy, Ph.D., OTR/L
Dr. McCarthy is an experienced research scientist specializing in community mobility and transportation for seniors and those with disabilities to ensure individuals have access to life sustaining and life enhancing destinations.
Areas of teaching experience include occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for those with physical disabilities and courses addressing the business side of occupational therapy.
Dr. McCarthy’s service includes membership on the Florida Department of Transportation’s Safe Mobility for Life Coalition, conference workshop organizer for the American Society on Aging, and a member of a number of community and university committees. Dr. McCarthy is a certified CarFit Coordinator and Technician and organizes local CarFit events. Dr. McCarthy is also a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and Florida Occupational Therapy Association.
