Nova Southeastern is pleased to offer a Physician Assistant Program in Northern Florida, located in NSU's Regional Campus in Jacksonville. We are excited to bring over 20 years of proven NSU PA education experience to the Jacksonville area.
The PA Department is also pleased to offer a PA/MPH Concurrent Degree Program providing an opportunity for students to attain an MPH degree in addition to the entry-level Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant degree. Information regarding this opportunity can be reviewed here.
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Nova Southeastern University-Jacksonville Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Nova Southeastern University-Jacksonville. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2025. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.
The program meets educational requirements for licensure/registration/ certification in all 50 states.
The Physician Assistant Program in Jacksonville offers educational excellence through the extensive experience of its faculty. The maximum enrollment of 60 students each year allows for a very low student to faculty ratio.
Our program strives to produce competent graduates to provide primary health care, to increase accessibility of quality health care in the primary care setting, and to prepare graduates for life-long learning and leadership roles in promoting the physician assistant profession. See our Mission, Goals and Outcomes.
The PA Program is proud to be a supporter of the Physician Assistant History Society
