Mr. Steven Vertz has been a certified SLP for 29 years.  He is the Associate Director of the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program at Nova Southeastern University and an instructor in the department.  He possesses a wealth of clinical experience in a variety of settings, e.g., public and charter school, acute care, rehabilitation and state hospitals, outpatient facilities, SNFs, home health agencies.  Additionally, he has held various positions, e.g., service provider, clinical supervisor and manager.  Mr. Vertz is the past co-chair of the L’GASP-GLBTQ, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning Caucus of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 

Mr. Vertz has been a member of both the Master Chorale of South Florida and the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and has performed twice with the international tenor, Andrea Bocelli!  He lives in Ft. Lauderdale with his partner, Keith, and two domestic cats: Tinkertoy, aka, "Tink," and Remington Steele, aka, “Remi” and one noisy dog, Barkley.
