Teaching

Dr. Laureano lab assists in the Neuromuscular System courses in the professional DPT program and serves as faculty clinical instructor at the NSU clinic. She provides Integrated Clinical Experiences (ICE) specific to patients with neurological conditions.

Area’s of practice

Dr. Laureano’s primary area of practice is in neurologic and geriatric populations. She has practiced in outpatient rehab for the last 13 years with specific interest in vestibular and concussion rehab. Dr. Laureano also has had experience in treating patients in inpatient rehab, acute-care, skilled nursing facilities and home health.

Scholarly Activities and Interests

Dr. Laureano’s scholarly interests included clinical research in best practices for examination and treatment of vestibular disorders and persisting post-concussion syndrome.

Professional Activity and Service

Dr. Laureano actively supports World Central Kitchen, Neighbors 4 Neighbors and Women in Distress. She has developed, organized and implemented free community balance screens and participates in the annual Optimism Walk for the American Parkinson’s Disorders Association.
