John Patrick Dorangricchia PT, DPT joined the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) core faculty at Nova Southeastern University’s Tampa Bay Regional Campus in 2024. Prior to joining Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Dorangricchia was a core faculty member of the DPT Program at St. John’s University in Queens, NY. His current teaching responsibilities include Applied Physiology, Pathology and Pharmacology 1 and 2, Complex Patient Management, and the Vestibular content of the Neurologic PT series.
Scholarly Activities and Interests
Dr. Dorangricchia’s research interests surround vestibular rehabilitation. Specific areas of interest are differential diagnosis and pathophysiology, including but not limited to; assessment and treatment of atypical or multi-canal BPPV and cervicogenic dizziness. Further interest lies in researching the prevalence, assessment, and treatment of patients with vestibular symptoms post COVID-19 infection or vaccination against COVID-19, as well as the efficacy of BPPV assessment and treatment in-person vs videoconference/tele-health.
Areas of Practice
Dr. Dorangricchia’s primary areas of practice include vestibular and neurologic rehabilitation in the outpatient setting. He spent several years practicing across the continuum of care at NYU Langone Rusk Rehabilitation with the bulk of years focused on outpatient vestibular rehabilitation. He continues to practice weekly in the out-patient setting at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Dorangricchia also provides pro bono outpatient PT through the Shark Motion Clinic in Tampa, Florida.
