Dr. Canbek teaches in the Neuromuscular Systems and Neuroscience courses, as well as the Neurologic Residency curriculum.
Scholarly Activities and Research Interests
Dr. Canbek’s primary research interests are validation of functional performance-based outcome measures in people with stroke; measuring functional performance and outcomes in acute care patients; developing clinical decision making skills in PT students and novice clinicians; and using active and blended learning to enhance retention in PT education.
Dr. Canbek serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Balance and Falls Team at NSU and participates in the Boca Boating and Beach Bash for people with disabilities.
