Professor Linda Steward joined Nova Southeastern University as an Assistant Professor in June 2022.
Professor Steward brings many years of clinical experience to the program as a Physician Assistant. She has primarily practiced in Orthopedics, but additionally has experience in Family Medicine, Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine.
She was introduced to the profession as a teenager while being treated for injuries sustained from being a competitive springboard diver.
She earned a Bachelor of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida in 1990 and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley in 2017.
When Professor Steward is not lecturing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children.
Her hobbies include traveling, gardening, and hiking. Proud moments include successfully summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2013 and reaching Mt. Everest Base Camp 1 in 2019. She was presented with the Lifesaving Award in 2018 after helping extricate an unresponsive Orange County sergeant from a flame-engulfed vehicle.
