Jorge Muniz, MMS, PA-C

Professor Jorge Muniz earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from George Mason University in 2009 and his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University in 2013. His diverse clinical background spans internal medicine, cardiology electrophysiology, and orthopedic surgery.

He is the creator of Medcomic, a popular medical education project launched during PA school that uses cartoons to make complex concepts more accessible. Professor Muniz is the author of two acclaimed books: Medcomic: The Most Entertaining Way to Study Medicine and Sparkson’s Illustrated Guide to ECG Interpretation.

A passionate educator, he encourages creative and engaging approaches to learning in healthcare. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and enjoys spending time with family in Puerto Rico.
