Professor Kim was born in South Korea but raised in South Florida. He received an undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in Food Science/Human Nutrition in 2010 and was a research assistant/medical assistant at the University of Florida oral pathology lab and movement disorder center. He graduated with a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies at Nova Southeastern University (Jacksonville) in 2015.
Professor Kim’s clinical experience includes urgent care/emergency medicine as well as family medicine. He is still practicing clinically at the urgent care. He enjoys both the academic and clinical aspect of being a physician assistant and is an active member of AAPA, FAPA, and PAEA.
During his free time, he enjoys a lot of outdoor activities with his wife and with his dog, Dominic. They go camping, fishing, hiking regularly and enjoys snowboarding in the winter months. Finally, he’s an avid Miami Heat and Dolphins fan.
