Assistant Professor - Physician Assistant
Dr. Monique Jaquith joined Nova Southeastern University in September 2025 as an Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant program. She brings over a decade of experience as a practicing physician assistant and more than four years of full-time academic teaching and leadership experience to her role at NSU. Prior to joining the faculty, she dedicated herself to educating and mentoring students as both a preceptor and faculty member, fostering the development of future physician assistants in clinical and classroom settings.
Dr. Jaquith earned her Doctor of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg in 2021, her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Keiser University in 2011, and her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Florida Atlantic University in 2009.
Clinically, she has practiced in family medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine, giving her a broad perspective on patient care across diverse settings. She is an active member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Dedicated to both her profession and her community, Dr. Jaquith is passionate about mentoring the next generation of physician assistants and advocating for the advancement of the PA profession. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors in her garden, biking, and going on hikes. She is also deeply committed to animal rescue and fostering.
