Amanda Trotter joined the Nova Southeastern University PA faculty in June 2022. Since becoming a certified Physician Assistant in 2014, her area of focus has been in primary care. With seven years of experience working in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine practices, she has treated a wide variety of medical conditions while building a strong rapport with her patients.

Amanda has always possessed a love for education and considers herself a lifelong learner. During her years in clinic, she was able to work closely with recent PA graduates and aspiring clinicians. This solidified her desire to pursue a career in education.

Professor Trotter graduated from the University of Central Florida cum laude in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. During her time at UCF, she was awarded the Women’s Executive Council of Orlando scholarship. She continued onto NSUs Ft. Lauderdale Physician Assistant program where she graduated with honors and earned her Master of Medical Science degree in 2014. She is an active member of multiple professional associations including the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA), and the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA).

When she is not on campus, Amanda loves spending time with her husband and two young children. She also enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, reading, writing, and traveling (preferably somewhere with a mountain view).
