She is an active member of multiple professional associations including the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA), and the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA).

When she is not on campus, Amanda loves spending time with her husband and two young children. She also enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, reading, writing, and traveling (preferably somewhere with a mountain view).
