Professor Rosas joined Nova Southeastern University Physician Assistant Program in January 2025 and is the academic director at the Ft Lauderdale campus. Her clinical experience was in cardiothoracic & vascular surgery. She earned her graduate degree in PA studies at Saint Francis University, Pennsylvania & Stroger Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Professor Rosas grew up in the Philippines and earned a degree in biology from the University of the Philippines, Manila.
Prior to NSU, she served as an assistant professor at West Virginia University School of Medicine. Professor Rosas is no stranger to building programs and promoting the PA profession. She served as the lead physician associate in cardiothoracic surgery at Oxford University Hospitals, National Health Service, England from year 2017-2021. Thereafter, she was appointed as founding PA faculty at UT Health San Antonio's extension campus in Laredo, TX.
Professor Rosas has held academic appointments as a clinical assistant professor at Northern Arizona University and Indiana University. Additionally, she served as a staff PA in cardiac surgery at Cleveland Clinic, Medical College of Wisconsin, Lake-Porter Cardiovascular, P.C., and Duke University Medical Center.
Outside of professional obligations, she loves to travel and learn about different cultures and parts of the world. She likes relaxing by the beach with her two dogs, Boris and Walter.
