Professor Miguel Santiago joined the Nova Southeastern University PA faculty as an Assistant Professor in April of 2025. A native New Yorker, he attended undergraduate studies at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York where he earned his degree in Business Administration. He went on to PA school at the City College of New York’s Harlem Hospital PA Program, graduating in 2010. He also completed his Healthcare MBA at FIU in 2021.
Professor Santiago has practiced medicine in both hospital and clinical settings; working in Emergency Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and at New York Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center where he had the opportunity to precept for PA and medical students. He also practiced in Urgent Care at CityMD.
He moved to Miami in 2017, where he began his journey into healthcare administration working as both a medical provider and administrator for an onsite employer-sponsored health and wellness center. This led to his role as Director of Operations overseeing clinical operations for QuadMed’s onsite health and wellness centers across the United States.
During his free time, Professor Santiago enjoys cooking, swimming, traveling, quiet time with a good book, and spending as much time as possible enjoying the Miami weather.
