Watfa Krayssa
Assistant Professor, Physician Assistant - Ft. Lauderdale
(954) 262-1281 krayssa@nova.edu

Professor Krayssa joined the PA faculty at Nova Southeastern University in May 2016 as an Assistant Professor. She worked in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in clinical practice for nine years in the field of General/Vascular Surgery and Wound Care with Drs. Ron Arison, Francisco Bermudez, and Alexander Parr. While performing under high pressure in a fast-paced, flourishing practice, she served her healthcare community with competence, kindness, and compassion.

During her clinical employment, Watfa also enjoyed the privilege of serving as a preceptor to NSU Physician Assistant students during their surgical rotations. Her drive for educating and positively impacting future physician assistants eventually drew her back to her Alma Mater, Nova Southeastern University. In addition to joining the NSU faculty, Watfa founded her own company, Krayssa Surgical Assist, PA, with the purpose of advancing her clinical surgical skills.

Professor Krayssa graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Science and is a proud Alumni of NSU's Physician Assistant Program, class of 2007, with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Medical Science. In addition, she is an active member of AAPA, FAPA, and AASPA.

Watfa is a Florida native and resides in Broward County. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, playing the piano, attending Miami Heat games, and Florida’s sunny beaches.
