Professor Sally Garrett is a native of Southwest Florida, raised in Lehigh Acres. She studied at Auburn University, where she joined the Army ROTC. She earned her BS of Biomedical Sciences and commissioned into the Florida National Guard as a medical service officer in 2014. She attended PA school at Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, where she served in the SGA and continued Army training. In 2016, she graduated with honors. She worked as a primary care PA in Lehigh Acres, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers for 7 years. During this time, she served as a PA in the 1-124 Infantry Battalion of the Florida National Guard, ensuring the medical readiness of all service members. She became a PA student preceptor in 2022 and decided to pursue full time PA education at her alma mater. She was welcomed as an assistant professor at NSU Fort Myers in 2023.
Sally lives in Fort Myers with her husband and two sons. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, particularly to the Great Smoky Mountains, and spending time with her family and dogs.
