Douglas Hughes, DO

Dr. Douglas Hughes was born in Pontiac, Mich. He has lived in Southwest Florida off and on for the past 25 years. Dr. Hughes graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1996 and received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. He finished his family medicine residency in Grand Blanc, MI, at Genesys Regional Medical Center in 2005.Dr. Hughes has been practicing family medicine in Southwest Florida since 2006. He has been a valuable NSU clinical preceptor for over a decade and continues to support the program as the Medical Director since March of 2023.
