Dr. Chevalier is an Assistant Professor within the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences. Her academic preparation includes a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University; an MPH in Public Health Practice from UMASS Amherst; an MS degree in Educational Psychology and Statistics/Special Education from the State University of New York at Albany; and a BS degree in Special Education from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York.
She holds a Certification in Public Health (CPH), is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and a certified professional coder (CPC). Dr. Chevalier is very active with many professional organizations (ASQ, NAHQ, APHA, NYSPHA, AAPC, AcademyHealth, ACHE, others) and is a member of Schenectady County Medical Reserve Corp. Dr. Chevalier is a member of the AcademyHealth Advisory Committee for Long Term Services and Supports, the NYSPHA legislative and advocacy committee and and is on the editorial board for several journals, and is a Senior Member of the Civil Air Patrol. She is a Board of Director Trustee at an Aeroscience Museum and for an Astronomy Observatory.
Dr. Chevalier lives in upstate New York. She has two adult children. Her interests include going to Disneyworld, amateur astronomy, singing, photography, and listening to music. She is an aviation enthusiast, NASA Geek, amateur astronomer, and an audiophile.
