Amanda was born and raised in South Florida. She is an alumnus of Nova Southeastern University. She was accepted to the Dual Admission Program and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and Master of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University in 2002. She has worked in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Urogynecology for 18 years. During this time, she was a preceptor to physician assistant students. She participated as a sub-investigator in Women’s Health clinical trials. Most recently, she worked in Functional and Weight Loss Medicine which taught her another approach to overall patient care. In 2020, she became a guest lecturer for the Ft Myers Physician Assistant Program. She enjoyed the experience so much she became a full-time faculty member in 2021.
When not at NSU, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. She also enjoys cooking, travelling, and spinning classes.
