B.S. in Athletic Training Program Expenses

While most costs for equipment, lab supplies, and learning materials are covered through student tuition and fees, there are additional costs that are the financial obligation of the students enrolled in NSU's Athletic Training Program (ATP). A summary of those costs appears below; however, this list is neither exhaustive nor exclusive to all student financial obligations.

Level I of ATP: Pre-Professional Phase

  • Books and required course materials
  • Uniform: NSU Athletic Training white T-shirt, professional khaki shorts, closed-toe shoes ($50)
  • Transportation to off-campus clinical affiliated sites*
  • CPR certification ($30)
  • Physical examination and inoculation costs, as required for the Pre-Athletic Training Program Portfolio (varies)
  • Application fees for criminal background check, as required for the Pre-Athletic Training Program Portfolio ($75)

Optional Fees

Levels II, III, and IV of ATP: Professional and Completion Phases

  • Books and required course materials
  • Uniform: NSU Athletic Training gray/blue T-shirt, professional khaki shorts, closed-toe shoes ($50)
  • Uniform: NSU polo game-day shirt ($25)
  • Transportation to off-campus clinical affiliated sites*
  • Update fees for required criminal record check clearance ($20)
  • CPR re-certification ($30)
  • Board of Certification (BOC) exam registration during the final academic semester ($300)

Optional Fees

*Students must have transportation for at least four of the required six clinical experiences. Distances traveled (32 miles) vary for each clinical experience; therefore, transportation costs vary accordingly.
