John "Robbie" Gerke, Jr. is the Clinical Director for the Orlando Physician Assistant Studies Program and an alumnus of the Program as well. He is a Founding Member of a Physician Assistant Studies Program in Southern California, where he held the titles of Clinical Assistant Professor, Data Assessment Coordinator, and Clinical Coordinator.
Professor Gerke has served as the Southeastern US Regional Director for the Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiology, as well as an Orange County Area Co-Representative for the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. He has been practicing for seven years with this primary focus in Cardiology, but has experience in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, and Urgent Care as well.
When he is not busy tormenting his students and colleagues, he enjoys art, reading, gaming, writing, and being dragged to Disney by his amazing wife, Stacy. He enjoys rock music, action/adventure movies, and most things sci-fi/fantasy in nature.
