Dr. Husny Amerih serves as the Director of the Dr.O.T. program at NSU, Department of Occupational Therapy in the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences. He has taught OT since 2007, an adjunct and full-time faculty, teaching introductory OT classes, at the bachelor and master levels, and chaired multiple post-professional OTD student capstone projects. He has also taught advanced OT classes in assistive technology, UE rehabilitation, Kinesio Tape ® Certification classes, and mental health at Texas Women’s University.
Dr. Amerih’s professional service includes departmental level services such as advisor for PTE; chair and member of multiple committees such as admission and retention; faculty search and director search committees; university-wide service included chairing TWU graduate council, International Service includes multiple service endeavors, and serving as the Secretary for the WFOT-ARG.
His research presentations and publications are numerous, focused around areas of assistive technology, Kinesio Tape ® , OT curriculum designs and pedagogy, and adult physical disability research.
