Dr. Hamill has been on faculty at NSU for19 years, having previously taught at two other universities and worked clinically. Her PhD is from Florida State University. Her post-doctoratal work was with industry – she was part of a team that developed the first commercial digital hearing aid. She is an author of The Hearing Sciences and editor of Ethics in Audiology. She has 34 publications, 43 refereed presentations/poster sessions, and 36 invited presentations and 14 funded grants. Her specialization is in auditory electrophysiology. She also teaches in the basic sciences, research methods, and diagnostic audiology. She has been on the Board of the American Academy of Audiology and Chaired the Ethical Practices Board.
