Dr. Michael Kehoe has worked in the arenas of sports, health and wellness and medicine for over 25 years in a variety of capacities. He has served as a university instructor and assistant professor in physical education, health and fitness for 16 years at East Carolina University, North Carolina State University, Florida State University and the University of Central Florida. He completed his Ph.D. in Athletic Administration from FSU in 2002 and worked as the Program Coordinator of the Lifetime Activities program there from 1997-2001. He returned to school and graduated from the NSU Physician Assistant Program in 2011 with an M.M.S. and now joins the Orlando program faculty as Clinical Director and Associate Professor.

For the previous four years, he has worked as a physician assistant in Internal Medicine with Dr. Kirti Kalidas at the Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine where he specialized in chronic and biotoxin illnesses. In 2002, he accepted a faculty position with UCF and was given the opportunity to write a new undergraduate degree program in Sports and Fitness that began operations in 2004 and then served as the Program Coordinator through 2008. His area of research while in this position focused on pediatric obesity and he worked with local physicians and the Boys and Girls Clubs in programs to address prevention of type II Diabetes development in at risk youth populations. Additionally, he has worked in front office management as the Director of Ticket Operations or Assistant General Manager for minor league hockey franchises in Tallahassee, FL, El Paso, TX, and Port Huron MI.

Mike’s wife Montse and daughter Sofia help bring balance and incredible love and support to his life and leisure time includes a love for reading, travel, sports, enjoying nature and the outdoors and a leisurely kayak adventure on any available river.
